How we can help
The Fund receives many requests for help and tries to help in every case of need. Typical examples of where we have helped are with paying towards stairlifts or vehicles for the disabled or elderly. We have paid towards a holiday break or to enable a carer to go away for a few days. And we have contributed towards the basic household bills electricity, gas, telephone.
We are also only too aware of the need for the elderly to receive prompt medical treatment so we do consider contributions towards medical costs, including an initial private consultation.
We also realise that the cost of funerals has risen significantly and we are able to help with this.
There are no set rules: every case is considered on the basis of need and is considered individually.
